LHWebPlatform – the basis for your digitization projects

With the LHWebPlatform, Liebherr offers a modular system of interfaces, data profiles and web apps for the configuration of tailor-made digitization solutions. The spectrum of applications ranges from simple monitoring tasks to far-reaching industry 4.0 scenarios – such as process logging, manufacturing analysis and production optimization. A wide variety of transmission paths and protocols – from fieldbus (Profibus, Profinet) to OPC-UA or also umati – enable the connection of the machines, for example to your superordinate systems.

This gives you full control over your manufacturing:

  • See the live status of your Machines in the field at a glance
  • Monitor changes in your production in real time
  • Get detailed information about each machine with the respective machine dashboard
  • Select the data relevant for you from defined data profiles (Basic, Production, Process)
  • Visualize data on production status, manufacturing equipment and machining results
  • Draw conclusions about the quality and efficiency of your machine and your production based on the evaluation of these signals
  • Analyze the recorded signals and export them, for example to Excel, taking into account all measuring points and their exact time stamp
  • Define your own signals via an intuitive logic editor and save them in a reserved area
  • Define your own rules, for example, what the colors of the signal light mean
  • Choose from a variety of interfaces and protocols such as OPC UA, MT Connect, MQTT or umati

System information and live demo

LHWebPlatform is a web application that runs with its database on customer (local) server hardware. Accordingly, the data is safeguarded against external access.

Machine data is never sent to Liebherr or the internet. One-click-setup makes it possible to set up the system without specialized expertise. The server only needs to be accessible from the connected machines.

The app is continuously developed and enhanced. To enable the app functionality, a license key must be provided.

    Connect your manufacturing landscape: LHOpenConnect

    With the product and service action LHOpenConnect, we make it possible to connect your Machine tool to your production peripherals – and with maximum system openness.

    The focus here is on the exchange of manufacturing data between a host computer, machine tools and Gear inspection machines. Furthermore, stations for manufacturing control and manufacturing management can be integrated. Changes that arise, for example, as a result of variations in dimensions, temperature changes or tool wear, can thus be corrected as quickly as possible. In addition, suspect parts can be systematically detected and rejected, or remachined.

    The overall aim is to transfer order, production and measurement data with the highest possible degree of automation in order to eliminate errors while maximizing production speed and manufacturing quality.

    With the software modules you connect:

    • your tool presetting devices with your Liebherr gear cutting machine
    • Your Gear inspection machine using GDE with your gear cutting machines
    • RFID reader, barcode reader or camera systems for tool, clamping device or workpiece control with our machine
    • Your gear measuring machines and gear cutting machines with your host computer or MES, PPS or ERP system

    umati: universal machining technology interface

    In line with our philosophy that we provide you with maximum system openness, we will of course help you connect to our machines via the OPC UA based interface umati.
    As one of the eight founding members, we have been a leader in this project from the start.

    LHToolIdent: unified definition of gear tool data

    Liebherr controls support different standard tool data formats (e.g. DIN4000, GDE).

    Using LHToolIdent all geometrical and wear data of tools can be stored on RFID chips. This way tools with up-to-date data become exchangeable between gear machines, tool setters and the backend systems of the end-user factory and the tool manufacturer.

    For optimal convenience and compatibility, Liebherr has defined a standard data structure to be stored on the tool covering all supported gear technologies – be it hobbing, grinding, shaping, or skiving. This data structure is open source, and it may be freely integrated into other systems.
