Liebherr cranes in action

Cramped spaces, extreme loads, high Alpine terrain: Liebherr mobile and crawler impress with their reliable work even under extreme conditions. It's not just crane operators who are impressed. A large number of spectators often stand gazing as the cranes perform their work spectacularly.

LR 11350 and LR 1750 help build bridge

A new railway bridge is being constructed to link the two stations "Piccadilly" and "Victoria" in Manchester. An LR 1750 belonging to Weldex begins by erecting the lower bridge section above the River Irwell. The bridge arch weighing 570 tonnes is then lifted into place in tandem operation with an LR 11350, the largest crane in the company, with the utmost precision. LTM 1300-6.2 in the heart of the French capital

A regatta boat on the Eiffel Tower: During night work at the Eiffel Tower, the LTM 1300-6.2 provided by the crane contractor S.E Levage achieves the hoist up to 60 metres masterfully. Wind turbulence means the crane has to be moved to a new location at short notice. The larger radius demands the highest precision from man and machine. Liebherr LTR 1060 overcomes high Alpine terrain

Gravel tracks and extreme gradients: In action in high-alpine Swiss Zermatt, the LTR 1060 defies adverse conditions. Supported by Liebherr specialists, the telescopic crawler crane negotiates tight bends and conquers a 180 metre ascent. This demonstrates once again the off-road capability of the LTR 1060. Special mission for the LR 13000: Enormous legs for Aeolus

Four steel cylinders, each one 940 tonnes, are lifted single-handedly by the Liebherr LR 13000 – a hoisting operation that previously called for two crawler cranes. The crawler crane puts its enormous load capacities to the test at the Lloyd shipyard in Bremerhaven. Equipped with the PowerBoom parallel boom system, it installs the giant jack-up legs in a specialist vessel for the installation of offshore wind turbines. LTM 1750-9.1 masters challenging crane job at Cologne Cathedral

The use of telescopic mobile crane LTM 1750-9.1 at Cologne Cathedral is full of logistical and structural challenges: At a height of around 100 metres, a huge suspended scaffold on the north tower of the cathedral is to be dismantled. A tight time window and the limited floor space directly above an underground station demand the highest precision. The meticulous preparation for this big moment takes around two years. Bridge building with VarioBase: Night work with minimal erection area

A 110-year old railway bridge needs to be replaced. The available crane election area with a width of seven metres is too narrow for many mobile cranes. But it is not a problem for Liebherr cranes with the VarioBase variable support base. Cream contractor Senn positions its LTM 1130-5.1 and LTM 1160-5.2 mobile cranes intelligently to obtain maximum load capacity from them. Eight nights of tandem hoists pass completely smoothly.
