The aerospace product segment develops and manufactures flight control and actuation systems, gearboxes and travel mechanisms, air management and cooling systems, as well as electronics. With the transportation systems product segment Liebherr covers a wide range of highly integrated systems and components for manufacturers and operators of rail vehicles: The heating, ventilation and climate systems, cooling systems for e-mobility applications without contact wire, thermal management systems for electronics, hydraulic drive systems, landing gear steering systems, dampers and equipment for the hydraulic load balance, as well as electronic components from Liebherr, are used in high-speed, long-distance and commuter trains, as well as in suburban trains, trams and buses. Apart from the separate sales and service centres, the transportation systems product segment uses the advanced and unique technologies of the Liebherr Group, as well as the worldwide development and service facilities. In addition, together with the Krone Nutzfahrzeug Group Liebherr provides a unique modular solution for the transport of temperature-sensitive goods. The patented CELSINEO cooling system allows a versatile control strategy with its three independent refrigeration modules, ensures continuous refrigerating capacity and thus increases availability, flexibility and efficiency.

The aerospace and transportation systems segment has four aviation equipment production plants at Lindenberg (Germany), Toulouse (France), Guaratinguetá (Brazil) and Nizhny Novgorod (Russia). In the transportation systems area Liebherr operates four production sites at Korneuburg (Austria), Radinovo (Bulgaria), Pinghu (People's Republic of China) and Zhuji (People's Republic of China). They are complemented by a global sales and service network.
