We have been a partner of the machine tool industry for over 50 years. We started as Liebherr Materialflusstechnik and automated the transport of workpieces between machines in manufacturing for the conventional drivetrain.
Since then, we have shifted from simple material transport to more sophisticated operations and ingenious concepts. Whereas in the past it was just a matter of logistics and loading workpieces, today automatic tool management and intelligent add-on and monitoring operations are also in demand. The range of machine tools includes machining centers, lathes, gear cutting machines, rotary transfer machines and gear grinding machines.
PHS pallet handling systems
Perfectly suited for variant manufacturing, the Liebherr pallet handling system offers large workpiece storage units and thus long autonomy times in low-manpower or even unmanned manufacturing. Intelligent cell control helps manage resources and reduce the complexity of high mix/low volume manufacturing.
Tool Handling Systems THS
Due to partly high-strength materials, large part variety and high metal removal volumes, the tool requirement is enormous. Automated tool supply with central storage and autonomous tool change into the machine magazines relieves operators and reduces waiting times.
Flexible robot cells
Robots also with gripper changing systems can be used for medium batch sizes and small series. From single machine loading to manufacturing systems with automated setup of tools or workpieces, and integrated additional operations such as measuring or cleaning can be implemented.
