Mediaco places its trust in Liebherr for purchasing two used lattice boom cranes

Repaired and repainted, with new signwriting and a warranty – Mediaco purchased two used lattice boom cranes from manufacturer Liebherr, an 8-year old LR 1600/2 crawler crane and a 9-year old LG 1750 mobile crane. MSG Krandienst GmbH extends its heavy duty fleet with Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane

Baden-based crane and heavy haulage contractor MSG Krandienst GmbH has expanded its fleet of large cranes with an LTM 1450-8.1. MSG says the reasons behind the decision include the fact that the Liebherr 450-tonne crane successfully combines a high lifting capacity, a very long telescopic boom and fast set-up time. Anything’s possible with Liebherr’s VarioBase® and VarioBallast®

A Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane dismantled a construction crane in the old town of Landshut in Bavaria in very difficult conditions. The innovative features of VarioBase® and VarioBallast® were essential for setting up the crane in a narrow alley. The work was carried out by Landshut-based Kran-Maier. Find out more

Weldex extends fleet with new Liebherr crawler cranes

Scottish crane contractor Weldex is the largest crawler crane rental company in Great Britain. The company is continuing to extend its fleet and over the last two years has ordered 23 new crawler cranes from Liebherr. Their lifting capacities range from 60 to 1000 tonnes. Find out more

Liebherr LR 1800-1.0 crawler crane proved with 560-tonne test load

Liebherr unveiled its new crawler crane, the LR 1800-1.0 at its customer days 2018 in June. Towards the end of November it had to prove its strength by hoisting its first large test load as part of the prototype testing procedure. The new crawler crane managed the 560 tonnes on its 84 metre main boom with derrick system with a radius of 12 metres. Find out more

Hoisted into the winter break

One hundred thousand visitors stream to the small town of Ralswiek on the island of Rügen every summer. Every year, fascinating stories about the famous pirate Klaus Störtebeker are played out in great detail on a natural stage on the banks of the Jasmunder Bodden, a lagoon measuring almost 100 square kilometres near the island in the Baltic Sea. After the play season, the cogs used by the theatre are hoisted onto land and protected for winter. A Liebherr LTM 1100-5.2 mobile crane recently had these replica Hansa vessels on its hook. Liebherr VarioTray shows its value in a race against time

Construction work on rail tracks which require railway traffic to be postponed for a limited time generally have one thing in common – massive time pressure. The essential thing is that the trains start moving again on schedule after the end of the planned track closure. The installation of a massive steel bridge over a rail track in Altenburger Land (Thuringia) was completed faster than scheduled – the VarioTray detachable ballast system on the LR 1750/2 crawler crane used for the job saved around 90 minutes compared to conventional suspended ballast.
