From 8 to 13 April 2014, Liebherr will be presenting its comprehensive range of refrigerators and freezers at the EuroCucina international trade fair for kitchen furniture in Milan.
The exhibits at the redesigned stand B 02 in Hall 9 include the new BlackSteel appliances, which are particularly characterised by their innovative refrigerating technology and elegant design. Thanks to the high-quality SmartSteel surface coating, fingerprints on the appliances are almost invisible. As well as this, the surface is very easy to clean and much less susceptible to scratching.
One of the highlights of the wine cabinets is the UWT 1682 Vinidor floor unit with TipOpen technology, which is ideal for integrating in handleless kitchen suites. A gentle touch on the glass door opens it by 7 cm so that it can then be fully opened.

Liebherr supplies electromechanical rudder actuator for Phenom 300EV – a milestone in civil aviation
Liebherr-Aerospace has signed an agreement with Embraer to become part of the rudder-by-wire upgrade of the flight control system for the Phenom 300EV. The upgrade includes an electromechanical rudder actuator with integrated control and power electronics. It is one of the world’s first primary flight control applications of an electromechanical actuator (EMA) for a rudder on a civil aircraft. Furthermore, it is the first rudder EMA with fully integrated electronics.

Liebherr electrifies hydraulic construction project with unplugged crawler crane
For the refurbishment of the Brouwer sluice lock complex on the Brouwersdam in the Netherlands, the company De Klerk Werkendam is relying on Liebherr’s battery-powered LR 1130.1 unplugged crawler crane. As part of this, the 50-year-old sheet pile structures are being replaced; these play a key role in regulating the flow of water between the North Sea and the Grevelingenmeer.
