Liebherr goes Podcast

The Seatrade Maritime Podcast recently aired our first pilot podcast episode with Tim Ladendorf, Global Application Manager for Ship cranes, port, and transshipment solutions. Within this framework, Tim gave valuable insights into bulk handling, current market situation, important trends and future requirements for customers and cranes. Special attention was given to the development of the highly anticipated CBG 500 E, Liebherr's all-electric handling solution. The exciting podcast episode laid the foundation for future episodes.

ZHD Stevedores orders first all-electric CBG 500 E

The crane impresses with a lifting capacity of up to 105 tonnes in hook operation and a maximum grab capability of up to 90 tonnes. It will be used for bulk handling in Rotterdam and the ZHD terminals in Dordrecht and Moerdijk. Tailor-made features have been developed in close cooperation with ZHD to best suit the demands of the operation fields to serve. The “Ahoy 50” floating crane will be able to operate either with shore power supply or with onboard power supply when connection to the terminal is not available. The onboard electricity will be generated by newly installed Stage V gensets, conforming to the latest emission standards in the business.
