When its all about height – Albrecht Autokran purchases LTM 1060-3.1

The main selling points were lifting capacity, range and manoeuvrability – Albrecht Autokran GbR based in Etting, Bavaria, has decided to buy a Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 mobile crane. Its 48 metre telescopic boom enables the crane to be more economical for jobs requiring great hoist heights.

Economical, cost-effective addition to all-terrain crane fleet – Steil’s new LTF 1060-4.1

The Steil Kranarbeiten Group based in Trier has taken delivery of a new Liebherr LTF 1060-4.1 telescopic truck-mounted crane. The 60-tonne crane with a 4-axle truck chassis is a cost-effective addition to the crane fleet. It will particularly be used for crane work which involves lengthy journeys to the site.

In the German city of Stade, a reactor was shut down, cleaned, serviced and overhauled.

The largest mobile crane in Finland – Helaakoski adds used Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane to its fleet

Finnish crane and transport contractor J. Helaakoski Oy has significantly extended its range of services upwards by purchasing a Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1. Previously a 500-tonne machine was the company's most powerful crane. Helaakoski decided to buy a used crane straight from the manufacturer Liebherr. The LTM 1750-9.1 is now also the most powerful mobile crane in Finland.

Scholl takes delivery of new Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane

Karl Scholl GmbH from Heidelberg took delivery of an LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane at the Liebherr Plant in Ehingen during November. The 5-axle LTM 1230-5.1 delivers greater mobility due to it being much easier to obtain road licences for it. The 230-tonne crane will also upgrade the company’s fleet due to its variable boom system comprising a 75 metre telescopic boom and a 39 metre infinitely adjustable luffing jib as well as innovations such as VarioBase® and VarioBallast®.

Swiss crane contractor Gyger Levage extends fleet with two new Liebherr mobile cranes

Swiss crane contractor Gyger Levage has taken delivery of two new Liebherr mobile cranes. An LTM 1040-2.1 will expand the crane fleet in the lower lifting capacity range and an LTM 1450-8.1 with a maximum lifting capacity of 450 tonnes will add to the fleet at the top end of the range.

Liebherr cranes erect prototype of the most powerful offshore wind turbine in the world

A few weeks ago, the prototype of what is currently the most powerful offshore wind turbine in the world was erected in the Dutch port of Rotterdam. The gondola of the wind turbine, which measures an overall 207 metres in height, has a net weight of 675 tonnes. It was the heaviest load for the two Liebherr crawler cranes used for the job. In a tandem hoist, the two LR 11350 cranes managed a gross load of 780 tonnes and placed the massive component onto the 150 metre tower for the gigantic turbine.

Crane contractor Haslach GmbH, based in the Allgäu region, has taken delivery of a new LTM 1130-5.1. The Liebherr 130 tonne crane is the fourth of this model which the company from Wertach has bought over the last few years.

Egyptian crane contractor buys used Liebherr LR 1400/2 crawler crane

Egyptian heavy haulage and crane contractor, The Specialized Contracting Company CRANES, based in Cairo, has one of the largest fleets of mobile and crawler cranes in the region. It recently bought a used LR 1400/2 crawler crane direct from manufacturer Liebherr. The 400-tonne crawler crane has already proven its worth after completing its first few jobs.

Liebherr crawler crane LR 11000 between Ironman and surfers in Hawaii

A Liebherr crawler crane of type LR 11000 from the fleet of Buckner HeavyLift Cranes is currently in use in the holiday paradise of Hawaii. New Vestas wind turbines with a hub height of 105 metres have been under construction there for over three months. A major advantage is the possibility to move the crane without a derrick, as the deployment area is in extremely hilly terrain.

Kandla Cargo Handlers enlarges fleet with addition of a refurbished LTM 1750-9.1 at the upper end of their lifting capacity

Kandla Cargo Handlers, based in Mumbai / India, took delivery of a refurbished LTM 1750-9.1 in April this year. The nine axle crane is the largest machine in the fleet of the crane rental company now and will be used mainly for industrial and wind power installations. After the trainings on the LTM 1750-9.1, the first job is now taking place.
