This improves assistance through visual information and so leads to faster and easier troubleshooting. Canadian company Eagle Builders celebrates 20 years with new mobile crane LTM 1250-5.1
Canadian construction company Eagle Builders is specializing in the design, engineering, fabrication and building of precast concrete structures. It´s subsidiary Quickline Crane is serving all the heavy lift requirements for the parent company. As project requirements are getting more complex and higher load capacities are demanded, the company has purchased a Liebherr mobile crane LTM 1250-5.1. The 300 ton (250 metric tonne) crane fully meets the demands of Eagle Builders.

The first ever LTM 1110-5.1 goes to Spain
Spanish crane and heavy haulage contractor Grúas Roxu took delivery of the first ever Liebherr LTM 1110-5.1 mobile crane in May. Liebherr unveiled a prototype of its new crane model at the Bauma 2019 in Munich. The concept and performance data impressed Grúas Roxu so much that the company signed an order for two LTM 1110-5.1 cranes before leaving the trade show.

The sound of silence: Liebherr mobile construction crane in electric operation
Earlier this year, the Radeberg-based company Krandienst Kunze e.K. sent its Liebherr MK 88 Plus mobile construction crane to Dresden’s old town district to replace elements of the extensive glass roof of a shopping centre there. The conditions near Dresden’s Frauenkirche church: a narrow street, tricky lifts out of the atrium over a thirty-metre-high row of buildings and a considerable residential density. A perfect situation for an MK 88 Plus in electric drive mode.

A second LTM 1090-4.2 within two years – Schwientek takes delivery of new Liebherr mobile crane
Mobile crane and recovery contractor Schwientek & Sohn based in Leverkusen has taken delivery of a new Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 mobile crane. It was handed over in May this year at the Liebherr plant in Ehingen. This is the second crane of this model the company has bought within two years. The main criteria behind the purchase included the crane’s great flexibility and economy – the 4-axle crane has a 60 metre telescopic boom and can be driven on public roads with either a twelve or a ten tonne axle load. This version delivers major benefits for road licensing and route approval procedures.

Straight from the crane factory to a job in a wind farm
Sommer Kranverleih GmbH based in Bremen has taken delivery of a new Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane. For its first job, the new crane was driven straight from the manufacturing plant in Ehingen to the “Vier Berge” Wind Farm in Saxony-Anhalt. Once there, it installed cables for bracing concrete towers at a hook height of 100 metres.

In the first few days of March, Yvonne Schmitz, Managing Director of HKV Schmitz + Partner GmbH, paid a visit to the Liebherr Plant in Ehingen take delivery of her brand new LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane. The 230 tonne crane provides massive power for working at great heights.

ECOL - Liebherr awarded certificate to provide training for the European crane operators licence
In March, the training centre at Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH was awarded a certificate, which officially enables it to train crane operators for the new European Crane Operators Licence (ECOL).

In March, the training centre at Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH was awarded a certificate, which officially enables it to train crane operators for the new European Crane Operators Licence (ECOL). The certification company, Lloyd´s Register, had first checked that Liebherr could provide the required training and whether the training centre met the high standards. The first three mobile crane operators have since taken and passed the examination with Liebherr.

The Deutsche Bahn [German Railway] is extending the suburban railway network in Munich. One of the central entrances to the second core line is being built at Marienhof in the Altstadt. Six Liebherr machines are in operation for this development. Even the high demands for the realization of this project cannot shake the new slurry wall package.

Fourth Liebherr LR 13000 crawler crane handed over
A ceremony was held in the evening sunshine last autumn – Liebherr family shareholders and members of the Mobile Cranes Division Board, Willi Liebherr and Sophie Albrecht, handed over a Liebherr LR 13000 crawler crane to Russian company Titan-2. Christoph Kleiner, Managing Director of Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH, was also present at the ceremony. The 3000 tonne crane is the most powerful conventional crawler crane in the world. It is the fourth crane of this type to be delivered.

“A Liebherr is always a good choice” – Bruns takes delivery of LTM 1130-5.1 mobile crane
Bruns Schwerlast GmbH from Suelzetal near Magdeburg (Germany) has received a Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 mobile crane. The new crane will replace an LTM 1100-5.2. The wide application field of the 130-tonne crane and positive experience with an LTM 1130.5.1, which the company had purchased in 2008, were crucial factors in favour of the purchase.

Replacement after a decade: Horn takes delivery of new Liebherr LTM 1100-5.2 mobile crane

Canadian crane company Irving Equipment’s newest crane services branch out of Wallisville, Texas, United States. In addition to ten employees, a brand new LTM 1160-5.2 from Liebherr is now taken into service at the new depot. Irving will serve the petrochemical market in the region with the taxi crane. Having long term experience with its predecessor LTM 1160-5.1, the new Liebherr All Terrain was the logical choice for Irving.

Crane and heavy haulage contractor Schmidbauer is freshening up its fleet with a large number of Liebherr mobile cranes of all sizes – from the LTC 1050-3.1 compact crane to the newly developed LTM 1650-8.1 heavy duty crane with delivery scheduled for 2021. At the beginning of April, Werner Schmidbauer took delivery of the powerful LTM 1450-8.1 crane from Ehingen.
