Loading by the RoRo method

RoRo stands for "roll on/roll off" and refers to ship transport in which the cargo is driven onto the vessel. This entails special ships with accessible decks, often with variable heights. Using this method, Liebherr mobile harbour cranes can be loaded fully assembled and fully functional. This means that the equipment is immediately ready for operation at the port of destination.

Loading by the LoLo method

LoLo stands for "Lift on/Lift off" and refers to ship transport in which the cargo is lifted onto the ship using on-board ship cranes. Liebherr ship, offshore and mobile harbour cranes can thus be loaded fully erected and functional using the LoLo method and are thus immediately ready for use at the port of destination.

Loading with mobile harbour cranes

Liebherr mobile harbour cranes are used particularly to load disassembled equipment and cranes with smaller tonnages. In a tandem lift, two Liebherr LHM 800 mobile harbour cranes can move a load of up to 616 tonnes.

Loading in the heavy-lift sector

With the TCC 78000, the Liebherr plant in Rostock (Germany) has one of the most powerful harbour gantry cranes in the world. The rail-mounted heavy-duty crane can travel with load and has a maximum lifting capacity of 1,600 tonnes. This means that even large-dimensioned equipment can be loaded safely and quickly in a single lift.

Shipping by road

Due to the excellent infrastructure in the Port of Rostock, Liebherr maritime cranes are not only delivered by sea, but also by road. The direct connection from the Liebherr factory to the German motorway network enables fast and uncomplicated delivery by road.

Excellent accessibility in the Port of Rostock

The Liebherr plant in Rostock offers the best logistical conditions for the international shipment of maritime cranes. The surrounding berths are accessible for ships with a draught of up to 13 metres without obstacles such as locks or bridges. Due to the direct connection to the German rail and motorway network, transport by road or train can also be carried out quickly and easily.
