Born to perform: Liebherr’s new hydraulic luffing jib crane is now available

Liebherr is expanding its product range with its new hydraulic luffing jib crane, the 195 HC-LH 6/12. The top-slewing crane excels in urban areas. With a minimal working radius of just three metres and an out-of-work position of ten metres, the crane can be optimally adapted to construction site conditions.

Strong performers: Liebherr presents new mid-sized wheel loader series

Liebherr has redeveloped and fundamentally revised its range of mid-sized wheel loaders. The newly-designed lift arm ensures maximum breakout, holding and lowering forces. It has optimised z-bar kinematics and improved working hydraulics. Increases in engine power and tipping loads prepare the wheel loaders for demanding operations in various sectors, such as excavation, recycling or log handling. The new development of the mid-sized wheel loader series from Liebherr is also characterised by a powerful design and intelligent assistance systems. These include, for example, active personnel detection with brake assistant or the fully automatic LIKUFIX quick-coupler system.

Transforming the timeless: HS 873 HD

Liebherr in Hong Kong is overhauling Liebherr duty cycle cranes for China Geo-Engineering Corporation. One 23-year-old machine has been transformed back to its former glory and had an upgrade in the process. Liebherr Transform, the upgrade, modification and overhaul service, has a tailor-made solution for all customer needs and is available for crawler cranes (up to 400 t), deep foundation equipment, and duty cycle crawler cranes.

Collaboration between Testo and Liebherr facilitates a more widespread use of networking solutions

In medicine and research, precision and safety are of the utmost priority. This also applies to storing sensitive substances. When combined with the cloud-based SmartMonitoring system, the Liebherr appliances designed especially to meet these requirements provide an integrated cooling solution, ensuring optimal safety and reducing the burden on the entrusted staff. The refrigeration specialists are now collaborating with Testo Solutions GmbH, an expert in measurement technology, to integrate existing appliances that have not previously been compatible with SmartMonitoring as well as appliances from other brands and even room environments into the networking solution so that customers are able to benefit from the advantages of comprehensive monitoring.

The 2023 business year was a colossal feat: Liebherr pushed the boundaries for technological progress, made outstanding improvements in zero emissions, undertook complex projects through strategic partnerships and even set a world record.

Liebherr-Components opens a new facility in China

After breaking ground in 2021, Liebherr Components (Dalian) Co, Ltd. inaugurated its new production facility in Dalian (China) on March 19, 2024. On a gross surface area of around 44,000 m², Liebherr is not only consolidating the production of components in a new plant, but is also undertaking a major investment in the region.

Delivering the first Liebherr mining excavator to Eastern Canada

In early January this year, Liebherr-Canada handed over an R 9150 mining excavator to new customer L. Fournier & Fils – a leading general contractor in Canada that works in the industrial, civil, and mining sectors. This R 9150 is the first Liebherr excavator commissioned in Eastern Canada and will go to work in the Abitibi-Temiskaming region at the North American Lithium operation, which is part of the largest spodumene – lithium ore – reserve in North America.

Liebherr is pleased to announce the appointment of Shane Kuhlmey as Divisional Director of Crawler Cranes, Deep Foundation Machines and Maritime Cranes.

Liebherr revamps Jinert’s fleet with a new addition and a repair

The Swedish lifting and transport service provider Sven Jinert AB ordered a new LG 1750 lattice boom crane from Liebherr. At the same time, an LG 1550 that had been involved in an accident went to the Ehingen-Berg repair centre, where it was repaired and repainted.

100-tonne crane for its 100th anniversary: Bruns takes delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1100-5.3

Bruns, based in Lüneburg, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Wilhelm Bruns founded a building construction business in 1924. In 1967, Bruns Kranvermietung GmbH was founded with its first mobile crane. In 2002, Bruns acquires Alex Grund GmbH Kranarbeiten und Transporte and is thus also represented with a location in Hamburg. A new Liebherr LTM 1100-5.3 mobile crane was delivered there at the beginning of April.

Liebherr enters air cargo market

Liebherr-Aerospace Saline and LHColus announce the signature of a Sole Distribution Agreement for LHColus’ quick conversion passenger to freighter cargo solution. With this agreement, Liebherr- Aerospace Saline, Inc., Liebherr’s dedicated aftermarket aerospace center for the Americas, becomes the exclusive international distributor of the cargo conversion kit developed by the Brazilian company LHColus, provider of aeronautical engineering consulting services.

On an icy mission: HS 8200

Around 250 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, Liebherr is part of the largest construction project in Greenland's history. Munk Civil Engineering is carrying out dredging work for two airport projects with the HS 8200 duty cycle crawler crane. The Arctic conditions and logistics pose a particular challenge.

Liebherr's LI3 injector: exceptional performance in validation testing

The success story of Liebherr injectors continues: Following an exceptionally high runtime of 20,000 hours in field testing, the LI3 common-rail injector also passes subsequent validation tests. Once again, the results underscore the outstanding performance of this component.

Working on water: LTM 1300-6.2 from Sönke Jordt erects pier

Sönke Jordt Maschinen- und Schwertransport GmbH & CO. KG has been relying on Liebherr cranes for twelve years, which it uses for assembly and dismantling work, among other things. Its most recent crane job took place in Scharbeutz Haffkrug in northern Germany, where an LTM 1300-6.2 erected a pier on which visitors will be able to walk 230 metres across the Baltic Sea this summer.

Used Equipment Marketplace: New portal for Liebherr used machines

With the Used Equipment Marketplace, Liebherr is launching a new portal specifically for the sale of used machines. On this digital platform, customers can find a wide range of used construction and material handling machines, used attachments and accessories as well as used spare parts – directly from certified Liebherr sales and service partners. The Used Equipment Marketplace is available both as a website application in the new Liebherr design with many different features and as an app for quick, direct access on a smartphone.

New ultra-low-temperature freezers: compact format, maximum performance

Liebherr expands its reliable range of ultra-low-temperature freezers to include a compact 350-litre variant. The new model is especially suitable for smaller laboratories thanks to its small footprint. Ultra-low-temperature freezers (ULT) are specially designed for extremely low storage temperatures of –40 °C to –86 °C and are used in particular for short- and long-term storage of sensitive samples such as DNA, viruses, proteins and vaccinations.
