Combustion engines

Powerful: Our product portfolio of combustion engines for tractors, harvesters, and sprayers ranges from 250 kW to 950 kW

Fuel-efficient: With innovative SCRonly technology, our engines impress in day-to-day life with low fuel consumption and a low cooling requirement

Low maintenance: Long maintenance intervals of over 1,000 operating hours ensure low operating costs.

Modularity: Our base engines can be equipped with different exhaust gas aftertreatment systems to meet the required emission standards, including the most stringent global requirements

D976 diesel engine

The D976 is one of the best-in-class combustion engines for off-road applications. Thanks to its robust design and Liebherr’s extensive experience, this 6-cylinder in-line engine is perfectly suited for the toughest environmental conditions that are common in agriculture and forestry.

D9612 diesel engine

The Liebherr D9612 engine is a powerful and efficient solution for demanding agricultural applications. Delivering up to 950 kW of power, it combines elevated performance with high fuel efficiency and low emissions, making it ideal for intensive field operations. With a displacement of 27 litres, the D9612 ensures adaptability across a range of agricultural machinery.

Injection systems

Flexible: Different housing geometries and nozzle variants enable a wide range of variations in product design

Reliable: An innovative 3-way control valve allow for stable multiple injections with high accuracy

Robust: Manufactured with solid materials, the injection components are particularly resistant to various fuel grades and aggressive fuels, even under harsh environmental conditions

Future-proof: System solution for methanol and ethanol up to 30 bar with port fuel injection (PFI), suitable for dual-fuel or single-fuel applications

Axial piston pumps and motors

Versatile: The modular design of the hydraulic pumps and motors allows for a flexible use in a wide range of applications

Durable: The robust construction and precise technical design of the components ensure a long service life

Compact: An optimal utilisation of the installation space enables a high power density of all hydraulic units

DPVG axial piston pump

The axial piston pump for closed circuits does not only impress by its hydrostatic swashplate bearing, but also by the load-independent stability of its rotary group. It is ideally suited for closed travel and rotary circuits, such as those in harvesters, forwarders or shredders with dynamic load changes. Its robust construction withstands tough conditions and ensures a long service life.

DMVA axial piston motors

The DMVA axial piston motor in swashplate design can be used as a single or double motor. It is particularly characterised by the fact that each rotary group can be independently adjusted by up to 22 degrees in the open and closed circuits, resulting in increased efficiency and power density. The axial piston motor is specifically suitable, among other things, for traction and work drives in forwarders or harvesters. In addition, the use of two small rotary groups, instead of a single large one, in a tandem design allows for higher speeds in a confined space.

Electric machines – the new high power density alternative to hydraulic motor

The new design of the permanent magnet machines comes with the same power density as hydraulic designs, but without the effort and risks of the extensive line systems of hydraulic motors.

Type: Permanent magnet

Power range: 100 – 1,000 kW

Rated speed: 1,800 – 3,500 rpm

Increased MTBF

With its innovative design, the motor significantly reduces maintenance requirements - resulting in less downtime and lower maintenance costs.

The high torque in relation to the speed ensures a longer service life of the machine and an increase of the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) in the system by reducing the number of gear stages.

Swivelling drives

Liebherr swivelling drives are used in harvesters and excavators of all types and are designed for highly dynamic loads. The mostly two-stage planetary gearboxes are usually hydraulically driven, but they can also be equipped with an electric motor. They impress with their high reliability and long service life.

Slew drives

Slew drives are very compact with a high power density. This design is ideal for transferring high forces and torques whilst requiring a small installation space.

Exceptionally durable: Slew drives are very robust – blows or shocks, for example caused by felling, are no problem

A perfect fit: The worm gear slew drive is very compact

Slewing bearings

Slewing bearings are designed for the adjacent structures of the undercarriages in forestry and agricultural machines. This is particularly true of single-row four-point bearings, which are a perfect fit due to their light weight.

For maximum demands: Liebherr LSS main gearboxes ensure consistently high baling densities in large square balers and extremely high throughput rates per hour. The robust design ensures maximum efficiency and reliability - even under extreme conditions.
