The Hungarian crane market has recently expanded by three Liebherr mobile cranes with a total load capacity of 1,000 tonnes. Ács-Gép Holding invested in an LTM 1200-5.1, an LTM 1300-6.2 and an LTM 1500-8.1. Reliable, experienced local Liebherr service provides Ács-Gép with security for its practical crane operations. At the same time the company rates Liebherr cranes as very reliable and progressive. Ács-Gép has acquired the very latest mobile crane technology in the form of the LTM 1300-6.2. The LTM 1500-8.1 is now the largest Liebherr mobile crane in Hungary.

Liebherr opens sales and service location for mobile cranes in Colombia

To continue to improve the range of services for mobile and crawler cranes in South America, a new sales and service location with Liebherr personnel was opened in April 2015 in Bogotá (Colombia). The aim is to be able to react even more quickly to the needs of the market and customers. The neighbouring market in Ecuador is also being covered and steadily grown from there.

SCHOLPP expands crane fleet with six new Liebherr mobile cranes

The heavy load experts from Riga Mainz hoisted the 82-tonne Airbus A-300 from the airport's apron using a Liebherr LR 1600/2 crawler crane and a sophisticated combination of attachment equipment. The aircraft will now become a museum exhibit on show to the general public.

US company McNally-Nimergood Co. recently expanded its crane fleet with a new LTM 1400-7.1 mobile crane. This Liebherr all-terrain crane delivers a lifting capacity of 400 metric tonnes or 500 US tons. This makes the LTM 1400-7.1 one of the largest mobile cranes in Michigan.

LTR 1220 acts as counterweight for a Liebherr LR 1600/2 crawler crane

Crane contractor Helling based in Schwäbisch Gmünd in southern Germany provided an object lesson in the perfect use of crane equipment and synergies in large wind farms. A Liebherr LTR 1220 telescopic crawler crane which was at the site anyway for set-up work, was used by Helling as a counterweight for lowering and erecting the large LR 1600/2 crane rather than the usual ballast blocks. If the topography and farmers allow, the smaller crane can also be used to move the large crane to the next turbine.

Specialists from heavy load logistics provider and crane operator Wasel in Bergheim completed an impressive job in the summer on the Rhine near Dinslaken using two Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 mobile cranes. Two 138-metre-tall electricity pylons had to be shortened and their mastheads rebuilt. In addition to their own 500-tonner, Wasel deployed another LTM 1500-8.1 from Cologne-based crane rental company HKV Schmitz + Partner to complete the job, which required simultaneously working on both sides of the river.

The stadium is now getting a retractable roof to avoid the frequent match postponements at the US Open caused by rain. Over a period of ten months, a Liebherr LR 11000 crawler crane and two LR 1600/2 operated by American crane contractor Buckner HeavyLift Cranes have been putting the steel structure for the roof in place.
