Dieter Vogel GmbH took delivery of an LTM 1090-4.2 at the Liebherr Plant in Ehingen. The new 90-tonne crane will replace an LTM 1080/1, which has been a reliable machine for 20 years for the crane rental company based in Reutlingen.

Three large Liebherr mobile cranes were sent by crane and heavy haulage logistics contractor Maxikraft, which mainly operates in the east of Germany, to complete a tricky job at a chemical plant near Halle (Saale) – a storage tank weighing over 100 tonnes had to be transported from its assembly area through the factory site to its destination and then installed in the plant. The route through the factory site was blocked by a large pipe bridge.

Australian crane contractor MCG Cranes Pty Ltd based in Thomastown (Victoria) recently took delivery of a used Liebherr LTM 1350-6.1 mobile crane, the 10,000th used crane to be supplied by Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH since the company was founded.

It continues the successful concept of its predecessor, the LTM 1500 8.1, featuring two telescopic boom versions – the LTM 1650-8.1 will be available with 54 and 80-metre telescopic booms.

Together with an identical mobile crane operated by MSG-Krandienst, enormous motors designed for power generation were loaded onto a freighter in tandem hoists.

A Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 mobile crane had to complete several hoists at Ehrenbreitstein Fortress near Koblenz to erect and remove works of art weighing several tonnes. The compact crane had to pass through two narrow points en route through the massive defensive walls to the place of use. Things became particularly challenging for the driver and vehicle marshals in a 25 metre tunnel where the distance between the crane and the historic structure was just two centimetres in some places.

The first Liebherr LR 1800-1.0 crawler crane heads for Spain – Eurogruas 2000 takes delivery of its new 800-tonne crane at the Bauma

Eurogruas 2000 took delivery of the first new Liebherr LR 1800-1.0 crawler crane at the Bauma 2019. The 800-tonne crawler crane, the largest exhibit at the entire trade show, was delivered to the Spanish crane contractor immediately after the end of the Bauma event. Eurogruas 2000 purchased the new crane primarily for hoisting heavy loads. Its first job will be at a refinery in Portugal.
