The first day of Conexpo 2014 exceeded the expectations for the Liebherr Group: Numerous guests from the Americas and beyond came to the Liebherr booth to visit the broad range of equipment for multiple industries and job applications the company has on show.
Conexpo is the largest construction equipment exhibition in North America. The Liebherr booth covers 50,000 ft² (4,600 m²) and provides room for earthmoving equipment, a deep foundation machine, material handlers, tower cranes, mobile and crawler cranes as well as a concrete pump. Liebherr alos presents various components from the mechanical, hydraulic and electric drive systems areas.

Expansion in the taxi crane segment: Henneberger acquires Liebherr LTM 1100-5.3
The crane and logistics company Henneberger Schwerlast e.K. has acquired a Liebherr mobile crane LTM 1100-5.3. The ability to carry up to 16.9 tonnes of counterweight on public roads and the vehicle’s narrow width of just 2.55 metres were the decisive factors in the purchase.

Through the basalt with ‘Mjölnir’ – Viking machine drilling in Mexico
Whilst on a trip to Europe, Olga Sánchez, the director of the Mexican company Grupo Olsa, discovered the Viking culture. Their impressive power inspired her to use an equally powerful drilling rig for deep foundation work on the AIFA-Pachuca railway project in her home country. This gave rise to the idea of the ‘Mjölnir’ Viking machine, which took shape with the Liebherr LB 25.
