Liebherr received a major order from Algeria for mobile dock cranes. A purchasing consortium of Algerian port operators ordered 20 Liebherr mobile dock cranes. The models are the LHM 120, LHM 280 and LHM 420.
The cranes will be delivered to various destinations along the Algerian coast, namely Algiers, Annaba, Bejaia, Ghazaouet, Mostaganem, Oran and Skikda. The fleet of cranes will be used for handling containers as well as bulk material and unit loads.
Liebherr mobile dock cranes have a long tradition in Algeria, the first ones having been delivered there 20 years ago. This order will almost double the number of Liebherr dock cranes in Algeria to a total of 43. All 20 of the cranes will go into operation in 2014.
