Liebherr-Transportation Systems: A hub for support and maintenance in the UK

The service and support facility of Liebherr-Transportation Systems located near Gatwick in Crawley (UK) is carrying out a broad set of tasks that contribute to the success of customers’ operations in the railway market.

The facility’s capabilities include diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, and maintaining various heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) modules and its system components. This strategic location gives Liebherr-Transportation Systems access to direct interface with train owners, vehicle maintainers and passenger service operators.

Since the opening of the service station in 2014, the support team refurbished, repaired and overhauled almost 6,000 HVAC units and related devices. Due to the growth of the UK railway market and the Liebherr network expansion, the facility has grown significantly.
