Liebherr-Transportation Systems has been selected by Solaris Bus & Coach S.A., Owińska (Poland), to supply anti-buckling systems for 18 low-floor tram vehicles, which shall be operated on the tracks of Braunschweiger Verkehrs-AG, Braunschweig (Germany).

The hydraulic system designed and manufactured by Liebherr assures that the specified clearance profile outline is maintained under all operating conditions that may be encountered. Its operational safety is monitored by an electronic controller that is integrated by Liebherr. In addition, the anti-buckling system substantially improves ride comfort and reduces wear on the wheels.By now, Liebherr has equipped several low-floor trams with anti-buckling systems. Solaris’ first order consolidates Liebherr-Transportation Systems’ position as a leading manufacturer of hydraulic actuation systems for rail vehicles.
