The Liebherr R 926 Compact crawler excavator was distinguished with the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015. The international jury awarded the “Red Dot” for the high design quality of the Liebherr crawler excavator. Liebherr is presenting the award-winning crawler excavator at the Intermat in Paris (France) from 20th to 25th April 2015.
Liebherr launched the 25 tonne compact excavator on the market last year. With greater comfort, improved productivity and cost-effectiveness, it superseded the R 924 Compact. The R 926 Compact combines the properties of a standard crawler excavator, such as high performance and versatility, with the advantages of compact machine. With small, compact dimensions, it is well suited for urban deployment.
The “Red Dot” is an internationally recognised mark of quality. The product design competition was held this year for the 60th time. With about 5,000 entries from approximately 2,000 participants from 56 countries, the Red Dot Award: Product Design is one of the most prestigious product competitions in the world.
