Liebherr recently completed two significant investments within Canada to support its customers and expanding business as well as product lines. Both the newly built, state-of-the-art mining remanufacturing facility in Acheson, AB along with the expanded facility in Burlington, ON represents a $24m further investment in the Canadian marketplace during 2015.
Within the new premises Liebherr-Canada Ltd. has invested in a state-of-the art major component remanufacturing facility which will service all of North America for primary Liebherr components and mining parts. The new Burlington branch also features a completely new equipment painting facility with an electrostatic paint system that eliminates overspray. An extensive central parts warehouse will connect seamlessly with the other 11 Liebherr locations across Canada and the rest of the world.
Liebherr remains focused on supporting customers locally in Canada with providing high quality, market leading, and consumer focused products. Most importantly, the ongoing Liebherr investment supports its established relations as a solid business partner to Canadian customers in a market which Liebherr-Canada Ltd. has successfully represented for more than forty years.
Recently Mr. Tim Petersen was further appointed as Managing Director within the Managing Board of Directors of Liebherr-Canada Ltd.. Mr. Petersen joins Mr. Paul Robson on the Managing Board of Directors and will draw upon his many years of dedication and experience to help steer the business operations. Together they will lead the expanding business and work in conjunction with the motivated and dedicated team of more than 330 employees to support customers locally in Canada with their quality Liebherr products. Liebherr-Australia commemorates the opening of its new training centre in Western Australia
Liebherr-Australia held a customer evening at its new training centre in Perth, Western Australia, late last month to celebrate its official opening. The new facility includes three dedicated training rooms equipped with different simulators and a 1,250 m2 workshop for practical training. Customers and industry peers were able to experience training simulators and other cutting-edge training technology throughout the evening.

The crane and logistics company Henneberger Schwerlast e.K. has acquired a Liebherr mobile crane LTM 1100-5.3. The ability to carry up to 16.9 tonnes of counterweight on public roads and the vehicle’s narrow width of just 2.55 metres were the decisive factors in the purchase.
