Holzbau Bögerl invests in the first mobile crane in the company's history

Holzbau Bögerl's field of activity has changed significantly in recent years. Instead of traditional roof trusses, the focus today is on large-format wall, ceiling and roof elements, which are often delivered prefabricated with insulation, windows or interior fittings. This construction method not only requires precision, but also higher lifting capacity and reach in often confined spaces. "Our lorry-mounted loading crane reached its limits. A compact mobile crane was the logical next step for us," explains company owner Richard Bögerl.

Well thought-out overall concept

The Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 compact crane was a conscious choice, as son Thomas Bögerl explains: "We were impressed by the well-thought-out overall concept. With its short chassis and minimal turning circles, the three-axle mobile crane is predestined for tight construction sites. Thanks to its all-wheel drive, differential locks and large-volume tyres, it also proves its strengths off the beaten track. The crane can also be moved with ballast, eliminating the need for additional transport. The crane can be set up and ready for use within 15 to 20 minutes. That saves us valuable time."

Brother Markus Bögerl adds: "The LTC 1050-3.1 also impressed us technically: the low overall height allows it to enter halls with a clearance height of just three metres. Lifting heights of up to 48 metres are possible with the folding jib. The variable VarioBase® support base offers more power and maximum safety, especially in confined spaces. The remote control allows high-precision operation of all functions - including undercarriage travel. Even travelling under load is possible within the permissible limits - ideal for area-intensive construction sites."

In future, the new mobile crane will be used on a variety of construction projects - from roof trusses and façade installations to complete detached houses and major public projects such as schools and nurseries.
