High-ranking politicians visit Liebherr-Aerospace in France and Germany

Philippe Tabarot, French Minister of Transportation, recently visited Liebherr-Aerospace in Toulouse (France). He was accompanied by Pierre-André Durand, former Prefect of the Occitanie and Haute-Garonne region as well as by Chems Chkioua, Director General of Civil Aviation, and Vincent Capo-Canellas, Senator representing Seine-Saint-Denis (Ile-de-France).

During the visit, the management of Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS highlighted the company’s role facing aviation’s key challenges: supporting the ramp-up in the industry, strengthening industrial capabilities, and preparing the technologies and products of tomorrow.

The takeaway of the visit: Liebherr’s goal is to make a major contribution to more efficient and sustainable aviation through innovations in aircraft systems and close collaboration with the entire ecosystem.

Minister President of Bavaria visits Liebherr in Lindenberg (Germany)

Dr. Markus Söder, Minister President of Bavaria, visited Liebherr-Aerospace in Lindenberg (Germany). Philipp Liebherr, member of the administrative board of the Liebherr Group, welcomed Bavaria’s head of government together with the managing directors as well as the chairman of the works council at Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH.

Several local politicians also participated in the exchange: Eric Beißwenger, Bavarian State Minister for European Affairs and International Relations; Mechthilde Wittmann, member of the German Parliament for the Oberallgäu constituency; Elmar Stegmann, district administrator of Lindau (Lake Constance, Germany); Peter Stahl, mayor of Lindenberg (Germany); and Ulrich Pfanner, mayor of Scheidegg (Germany).

During this visit, the managing directors presented the company’s core competencies: landing gear, flight control and actuation systems, software and electronics, as well as gears and transmissions.

Afterwards, Minister President Söder addressed part of the workforce, praising the aviation sector as a high-tech key industry in Bavaria as well as in Germany, with a central role regarding innovation and sustainable transformation.

Dr. Söder also had a look at the construction site of the new office building of Liebherr-Aerospace in Lindenberg, which is part of a large-scale site expansion.
