Darma Henwa welcomes its first PR 776 dozers in East Kalimantan
In September, Liebherr Indonesia delivered two PR 776 mining dozers to longstanding customer PT Darma Henwa Tbk at the Bengalon Coal Project in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. These are the first Liebherr mining dozers to join Darma Henwa’s fleet.
Darma Henwa, an integrated mining service company based in Indonesia, was first introduced to Liebherr’s flagship 70-tonne mining dozer at the Bauma exhibition held in Munich, Germany, earlier this year. Delegates from Darma Henwa visited the Liebherr booth while at the exhibition and had the chance to see the PR 776 machine as well as other Liebherr mining machines and innovations. Bauma also provided an opportunity for the Darma Henwa team to meet with representatives from Liebherr Mining and its production facilities in Europe to discuss potential business opportunities. The company’s positive experiences with the PR 776 and Liebherr Mining personnel in Munich contributed to this latest purchase.
Darma Henwa, formerly part of the Henry Walker Eltin (HWE) group, has worked with Liebherr equipment on its sites since the early 2000s and was one of Liebherr Indonesia's first customers after the sales and service company was founded in 1997.

As their operations have grown, we’ve adapted our support to match their needs and we are proud to continue this partnership,’ says Kamige Sulistyo, sales manager at Liebherr Indonesia.
The PR 776 in Indonesia
These new PR 776 dozers for Darma Henwa join the growing number of the same machines currently working for mining companies throughout Indonesia.
‘Our customers in Indonesia choose the PR 776 for its powerful performance and efficiency. Its hydrostatic drive system provides smooth control for the operators, while fuel consumption remains optimal even in tough mining conditions,’ explains Sulistyo.
Faruk Fauzi, operations director for Darma Henwa, is excited for the PR 776s to join the fleet at Bengalon Coal Project.
‘The arrival of the PR 776 is an exciting milestone for us,’ Fauzi says. ‘It strengthens our current operations and solidifies our confidence in working with Liebherr.’
