Perfect premiere

Our new MK 120-5.1E mobile construction crane is launched

Exactly the right crane: “The MK 120-5.1E is exactly the right crane for our fleet. With its combination of jib length and lifting capacity, it is ideal for our customers’ construction sites,” says Stephan Zaugg, CEO of Zaugg AG Rohrbach. Sophie Albrecht, Member of the Liebherr Administrative Board, came to Reiden for the handover of the new crane.

Right in the middle of the action: Adrian Sommer stands right next to the scaffolders to precisely control the crane via radio remote control. To install the roofs, the crane operator travels upwards in his cabin. “It’s luxurious and has great features,” he enthuses. With automatic climate control, cool box, USB charging socket and a modern touch display, the infinitely height-adjustable cabin offers a great deal of comfort as standard.

The 52-metre-long boom of the MK 120-5.1E reaches as far as the next alleyway. Even Bern cathedral is watching.

Project planner: “We can deploy the crane quickly and often very economically, even without additional ballast.” Stefan Stettler planned the operation above the rooftops of Bern’s old town.

Hardly any crane noise due to electric mode

Easily enough: Towards the end of the work, the mobile Liduro Power Port still has well over half of its original stored energy.

Visual contact with the action

“What’s absolutely fantastic is the auxiliary crane for laying out the load distribution plates,” says Christian Geissmann. He works at Zaugg as project manager for crane logistics and as a member of the Board of Directors. “It means that this work is completed in minutes.”

Origami above the rooftops: The fully automated folding and unfolding of a Liebherr mobile construction crane is always an eye-catching moment. The MK 120-5.1E is set up and ready to lift in no time at all.
