COMAC’s latest passenger aircraft, the C919, successfully completed its first flight on May 5th, 2017. Liebherr-Aerospace supplies major systems to C919-a family of commercial single-aisle and narrow-body aircraft. Liebherr-Aerospace supplies the landing gear system as well as the integrated air management system.
The Management of Liebherr-Aerospace commented: “We congratulate COMAC’s team for this great achievement. The first flight of the C919 is a historic event and a very important milestone. Liebherr supplies electromechanical rudder actuator for Phenom 300EV – a milestone in civil aviation
Liebherr-Aerospace has signed an agreement with Embraer to become part of the rudder-by-wire upgrade of the flight control system for the Phenom 300EV. The upgrade includes an electromechanical rudder actuator with integrated control and power electronics. It is one of the world’s first primary flight control applications of an electromechanical actuator (EMA) for a rudder on a civil aircraft. Furthermore, it is the first rudder EMA with fully integrated electronics.
