Dedication in motion

For nearly a decade, Jayson Cody has been one of the driving forces behind the Liebherr Earthmoving and Material Handling Technology’s success at Conexpo.

As District Support Representative for Earthmoving and Material Handling Technology, Cody plays a crucial role in planning, coordination, and execution before, during, and after the largest construction tradeshow in North America. The 2026 exhibition will mark his fourth time supporting Liebherr at Conexpo. An experience he describes as both a challenge and an honor.

“Liebherr feels like home, and my colleagues all feel like family,” Cody shared. “I’m proud to be a part of this team that makes the Liebherr Conexpo show experience come together.”

Precision in planning

Each Conexpo cycle begins months before the show itself. For Cody, preparations start as early as June of the prior year, developing detailed schedules, supply lists, and personnel rotations for the Earthmoving team.

By January 2026, Cody and his crew arrive in Las Vegas to begin setup, a process that spans roughly 12 weeks. From assembling and inspections at Liebherr’s setup yard in North Las Vegas to coordinating refinishing and repainting, Cody ensures every piece of equipment is show-ready.

Before move-in, Cody meticulously maps out the Earthmoving and Material Handling section of the Liebherr booth, marking the precise placement of each machine according to detailed blueprints. As transport trucks begin rolling in, every move, from pressure washing to staging to on-site detailing, is timed with near precision.

“It’s a lot to balance,” Cody explained. “Trying to perform my daily role while managing Conexpo responsibilities can be difficult. But experience and planning ahead makes all the difference.”

Safety first

If there’s one word that defines Cody’s leadership approach, it’s safety.

“Safety is essential and my number one focus throughout the show process,” he emphasized. “The only way I feel Conexpo is a success is if there are no injuries or even close calls.”

Each day begins with safety checks, communication briefings, and a review of potential hazards. Cody and his rotating team of product support personnel make it their mission to ensure that every task, from assembly to teardown, is done the right way - the safe way.

What’s most rewarding is working with everyone who makes a show of this magnitude possible.

Teamwork that builds success

Throughout the show, Cody coordinates closely with sales leads and the Liebherr USA marketing team to ensure a seamless experience for both staff and visitors. During the week of Conexpo, his team supports customer interactions, answers technical questions, and ensures the machines are kept in pristine condition.

Following the show’s close, Cody leads teardown efforts, disassembling attachments, packaging components, and organizing transport out of Las Vegas. For him, seeing the booth come together and then wrap up safely is the ultimate measure of success.

“What’s most rewarding is working with everyone who makes a show of this magnitude possible,” Cody said. “It’s a complete collaboration across Liebherr divisions from start to finish.”
