Deep foundation

With the LB 45.1, Liebherr presents its successor to the proven drilling rig LB 36-410. Its torque is 450 kNm – a 10 % increase in comparison to its predecessor. Various methods such as Kelly drilling, continuous flight auger drilling, partial and full displacement drilling or double rotary drilling can be applied. Despite of its large machine class the upper carriage is compact and designed for small working radii. This allows for working at jobsites with limited space.

  • Operating weight - 115.5 - 133.2 t

  • Max. torque - 450 kNm

  • Kelly drilling, max. drilling depth - 95.0 m

  • Kelly drilling, max. drilling diameter - 4,500 mm

High performance
Strong winches enable highest performance even under the most difficult conditions. Furthermore, the noise emission is considerably reduced thanks to their elastic mounting.
Rotary drive with selective Kelly shock absorber
The latest version of the rotary drive has a newly developed Kelly shock absorber, which allows the damping strength to be adapted depending on the respective weight of the Kelly bar.
Modular design
Both the counterweight and the leader are modularly constructed. This enables quick and easy assembly and flexible application.
Increased drilling depth
The maximum drilling depth for Kelly drilling with 5-fold Kelly bar has been increased to 100 m and so significantly improved.
Various drilling axes
The leader top is designed for different drilling axes and is therefore suitable for all applications.
Easy transportation and quick set-up
Basic machine and leader with all hydraulic hoses connected can be transported in one piece. The minimized assembly work allows for quick and easy transportation of the machine between jobsites. Hence, time and money is saved even before operation starts.
