Assembly has started
Liebherr installs one of the world's most powerful land-based heavy lift cranes with a max. lifting capacity of 1,600 tonnes on its factory site in the port of Rostock, Germany. The TCC 78000 will be used for in-house logistics processes with regards to the production, assembly and dispatch of maritime cranes. Liebherr-MCCtec Rostock GmbH also offers to rent the TCC 78000 for the (un-) loading and shipping of larged-sized cargo.
Special Design Ship Crane
Recently the biggest ram luffing CBW crane left Liebherr’s premises in Rostock. The tailor-made Liebherr type CBW-F 3450 ship crane has been manufactured by Liebherr-MCCtec Rostock GmbH for the world's largest suction dredger Spartacus. This challenge was met with the help of two Liebherr LHM 800 in tandem lift operation and required maximum concentration on the part of everyone involved.
Innovative Engineering
Two unique STS cranes have recently entered service in Nemport, Turkey. Designed to operate on a finger pier with a span of only 15 metres, these Liebherr megamax cranes are capable of handling the world’s largest container vessels.
- 65 metres outreach
- 15 metres span
- 65 tonnes safe working load
Refurbishment on Molikpaq
Liebherr's maritime customer service is carrying out an extraordinary modernisation project on Sakhalin Energy’s Molikpaq offshore platform off the Russian island of Sakhalin. Two ram luffing offshore cranes, type RL 1500 are going to be completely renewed. An existing crane, type BOS 1900 will be upgraded with the same generation control system as the RL 1500.
Visit the International Offshore Crane and Lifting Conference in Stavanger, Norway on the 24th April 2019 at 12:10 hrs to hear a detailed project report.

Roll on - roll off shipment
Beginning of December three Liebherr mobile harbour cranes LHM 420 were shipped fully erected from the Liebherr Maritime headquarter in Rostock, Germany to Algeria and Cyprus.
When shipping large equipment semi-erected or even fully assembled by Ro-Ro vessel means that Liebherr mobile harbour cranes can be ready for operation immediately after driving off the vessel onto the quay.
