Information on repairs, indicative prices, and services
EU “Right to repair” directive
With the EU directive on the “Right to repair” (Directive (EU) 2024/1799) the European Union aims to promote the repair of products, to increase their service life, and to reduce waste.
One important aspect of the directive is creating greater transparency about repair options and indicative prices, so that consumers can better assess repairs and weigh this up against purchasing a new item.
With this in mind, we have set out for you below non-binding, indicative prices for typical repairs to fridges and freezers for domestic use
Information on repair services
As a manufacturer of domestic fridges and freezers Liebherr, when requested to do so by consumers, also carries out repairs beyond the guarantee or any warranty obligations, in line with applicable legal provisions.

Processing and diagnosis
You repair request will wither be processed by the customer service team at a Liebherr factory or forwarded to a qualified service partner (repair service provider) near you. They will contact you soon to agree how to proceed.
A diagnosis of your appliance is generally required to establish the defect and what repairs are necessary. Depending on the appliance and fault profile, this is carried out either at your home, in the relevant workshop, or as a remote inspection.
Costs
The costs for diagnosing and repairing your appliance depend on the individual case, in particular depending on the appliance type and type of the defect, and will be individually determined by the repair service provider.
For a guide on the possible costs of diagnosis and repair, we refer you to the indicative prices below.
Legal note on listing of indicative prices
All of the prices listed below are non-binding, indicative prices and represent the average total cost for specific repair categories in the European Union. They are based on typical repair cases.
They are neither an offer to conclude a repair contract with Liebherr, nor a binding price commitment.
No contractual claims may be derived from the listed average prices.
Only the conditions and prices agreed in the individual contract with the respective repair service provider are relevant. These are determined by the repair service provider separately and independently.
Note on cost structure
The costs for an individual repair generally consist of several different elements, in particular:
- costs for the required repair work,
- costs and expenses for travel to the location of the appliance to be repaired,
- and costs for the required spare parts to carry out the repair.
Notes on possible deviations
The actual costs incurred in individual cases may differ. This depends in particular on:
- the type and scope of the specific defect,
- the number and type of required spare parts,
- the location of the appliance to be repaired,
- the appliance design and type of installation, and
- the regional and local conditions during the service call.
A binding price can only be set once the appliance has been individually evaluated and on the basis of a specific repair offer.
Information on diagnostic services
A diagnosis of the defective appliance is usually required before a specific repair offer from Liebherr or a repair service provider can be drawn up. During this diagnosis, the type of defect, the required repair measures, and the expected costs for the repair will be determined.
Depending on the appliance and fault profile, this diagnosis service is carried out either by means of an evaluation at your home or in the relevant workshop.
If diagnosis services are carried out, the costs incurred may be invoiced to the consumer, provided that the relevant repair company informed the consumer of these costs before carrying out the diagnosis service and before drawing up a repair offer.
