The Liebherr Group successfully closed the 2019 financial year with a turnover of € 11,750 million.
Both the construction machinery and mining division as well as the other product areas recorded increases in turnover. In addition, the number of employees also increased significantly in 2019. At the end of the year Liebherr employed 48,049 people worldwide.
Numerous research projects with universities, colleges and research institutes were initiated and continued in 2019. Liebherr invested a total of € 592 million in research and development in order to play a major role in driving technological progress in the industry as a high-tech company. The Group also continued to invest in production facilities and the sales and service network.
The annual report published on 6 April 2020 contains detailed key figures on the development of the group of companies as well as a magazine section. In addition to an interview with second- and third-generation family shareholders, there are exciting stories from the Liebherr world to discover and a review of the highlights of the past financial year.
