International training as a solution to the skills shortage

German engineering meets global perspectives: Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH demonstrates how international training can contribute to solving the shortage of skilled workers. In collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the PAM programme (“Partnerships for development-oriented training and labour migration”), Liebherr is actively promoting the integration of young talent from abroad.

Liebherr commissions new machines for Northern Star Resources

Liebherr-Australia successfully commissioned eight machines in July 2025 for Northern Star Resources – one of the world’s leading gold producers – at two of its operations in Western Australia. These machines join the five PR 776 dozers delivered to Northern Star Resources in February 2025.

Liebherr Tower Cranes builds the future of production at its Biberach site

Liebherr-Werk Biberach GmbH, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of tower cranes and mobile construction cranes, will invest a nine-figure sum in the extensive modernisation of its Biberach (Riß) site between now and 2034. The first phase will see several tens of millions going into the renovation and expansion of the production plant. This reflects Liebherr’s strong commitment to both the location and its highly skilled employees in the region.

Ordered at Bauma and delivered for the Oktoberfest: Hölzl takes over Liebherr mobile crane LTM 1150-5.3

Hölzl Kran GmbH from Bad Tölz has expanded its fleet with a Liebherr LTM 1150-5.3 mobile crane. The 66 metre telescopic boom and high lifting capacities with basic ballast were important criteria for the Upper Bavarian company when deciding on the Liebherr 150 tonne crane. The order was placed at Bauma 2025 in Munich, with delivery on time for Oktoberfest, the world's largest folk festival.

Granite mining in the Bavarian Forest: Liebherr’s 10,000th XPower wheel loader joins BERGER's fleet

A milestone machine in a fitting location: The 10,000th Liebherr XPower wheel loader is now hard at work in the Schlag granite quarry operated by BERGER Rohstoffe GmbH in Passau. The ceremonial handover took place in May 2025 at the Liebherr plant in Bischofshofen (Austria). This anniversary machine exemplifies innovation, efficiency and reliability of Liebherr wheel loaders. At its heart is the power-split travel drive, a standard feature on all XPower models.

Liebherr cranes at work for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy

A total of nine Liebherr tower cranes by dealer Niederstätter AG are being used at two major venues for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Italy, in Predazzo and Milan. In Predazzo, they are supporting the construction of the new ski jumping hills in the Alpine terrain, while in Milan they are proving their worth during the construction of the ARENA MILANO, where space is extremely limited.

Allied Crane Hire takes delivery of first Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 crane in Africa

25 Liebherr machines for the Max Bögl Group

The Max Bögl Group relies on Liebherr: 25 earthmoving machines will be in use for Bögl in the future. Part of the major order includes 16 crawler excavators, which Max Bögl has taken over from the Beutlhauser Group as a Liebherr sales partner. In future, the Liebherr R 930, R 934, and R 926 Compact crawler excavators will be used together with five new A 924 wheeled excavators for earthworks on sections of the new Suedlink and SuedOstLink routes.

Wiesbauer lifts 100-tonne steel plates onto the new Neckar valley bridge with LR 1700-1.0 and LTM 1650-8.1

High above the Neckar valley, an impressive project is currently under construction: as part of the new Horb bypass, the Karlsruhe Regional Council is building a 667 metre long and around 65 metre high bridge, which will carry the B32 federal road over the Neckar in future. Two Liebherr cranes from Wiesbauer GmbH & Co. KG - an LR 1700-1.0 crawler crane and an LTM 1650-8.1 mobile crane - were used to install solid steel plates on the underside of the two carriageway spans.

New underground railway: Liebherr’s LB 55 drills through Munich

For a technically demanding construction site in the centre of Munich, the Max Bögl Group is relying on Liebherr’s most powerful drilling rig. The LB 55 was specially designed for large-dimensioned bored piles, such as those required for the extension of the U5 underground railway line. Liebherr recently handed over the keys for the new LB 55 to its long-standing customer at Bauma.

First MK 120-5.1E installs emergency roofs in Bern

Swiss company Zaugg AG Rohrbach put the first MK 120-5.1E delivered by Liebherr into operation this summer. The brand new mobile construction crane made its debut in the narrow streets of Bern's old town. At a height of around 20 metres and with a reach of up to 45 metres, the crane positioned temporary roofs over two construction sites – entirely powered by electricity.
