Manager Autonomous Haulage System - PerthPerth
About the Role:
As the Autonomous Haulage System Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development projects related to autonomous haulage. This includes defining and evaluating system architecture, developing project plans, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, and managing project timelines and budgets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive innovation and ensure the successful implementation of autonomous systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage development projects related to autonomous haulage.
- Define and evaluate system architecture for autonomous systems.
- Develop and coordinate project plans, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Write and approve specifications for hardware and software related to autonomous systems.
- Manage external development projects, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Plan and schedule project tasks and resources.
- Interface with Product Engineering and Test Group for system integration and validation.
- Meet with customers to gather requirements and support sales of autonomous systems.
- Directly supervise the autonomy development team, including technical leads.
About You
Position Specific Competencies:
- Knowledge of autonomous system technology principles
- Knowledge of real-time embedded systems
- Ability to write specifications for software function
- Experience with project management tools
- Leadership and analytical thinking skills
Education and Experience:
- Master of Science or Master of Engineering with 4 years of engineering experience or alternatively, a relevant Bachelor or Masters Degree with at least 2 years of full-time work experience.
- 2 years of autonomous system development.
- 2 years of direct management experience.
- Experience in mining truck, heavy equipment, or off-road vehicles.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally up to 20%.
- Mine certifications or safety training (MSHA) required.
- Driver's license and passport required.
