<p>Founded in 2011, Liebherr-Components Colmar SAS began operations in 2014 in Colmar, France, adjacent to Liebherr-Mining Equipment SAS. This brand-new facility is fully dedicated to the development, design, assembly, and testing of large combustion engines. It complements and builds upon the long-standing engine manufacturing expertise of Liebherr Machines Bulle in Switzerland, which has served as the group’s primary site for combustion engine production since 1984.</p><p>By combining Liebherr’s decades of experience in the mining industry with its deep technical know-how as an engine manufacturer, the Colmar facility has enabled the development of the D98 and D99 engine series — each offered in V12, V16, and V20 variants. These high-performance engines significantly strengthen Liebherr’s portfolio and provide powerful solutions tailored to the most demanding industries such as mining and power generation.</p>
