    25 Liebherr machines for the Max Bögl Group

    The Max Bögl Group relies on Liebherr: 25 earthmoving machines will be in use for Bögl in the future. Part of the major order includes 16 crawler excavators, which Max Bögl has taken over from the Beutlhauser Group as a Liebherr sales partner. In future, the Liebherr R 930, R 934, and R 926 Compact crawler excavators will be used together with five new A 924 wheeled excavators for earthworks on sections of the new Suedlink and SuedOstLink routes.

    Liebherr presents the railroad excavators A 922 Rail and A 924 Rail at the IAF 2025

    Liebherr will be showcasing its railroad excavators A 922 Rail and A 924 Rail at the 29th International Track Technology Exhibition (IAF) 2025 at booth B-421/B-422. The machines are used both on railway tracks and in road construction and can be quickly relocated thanks to their mobile undercarriage. A rail travel drive is mounted on both sides of the undercarriage. When entering the rails, the rail travel drive lifts the tyres to rail height. The inside wheels of the dual tyres ensure travel of the excavator on the tracks.

    Liebherr is presenting its new railroad excavator under a new product name at the 29th International Exhibition for Track Technology (IAF) 2025 in Münster: the RE 25 M Litronic. The model expands the existing portfolio with a machine in the 25-tonne class with hydrostatic rail wheel drive and a profiled uppercarriage. The RE 25 M Litronic uses the proven components of the previous models and supplements them with an innovative undercarriage concept, a new uppercarriage design and a new operator's cab with an intuitive control concept. This is how Liebherr provides its customers with a high-performance machine for rail construction.

    Liebherr at LIGNA 2025: Special machines and solutions for the timber and forestry industry

    Liebherr will showcase its special machines and solutions for the wood processing industry at the LIGNA 2025 international trade fair for the timber and forestry sector in Hanover. From 26 to 30 May, visitors will be able to explore Liebherr's approximately 475 m² exhibition stand in the fair's outdoor area (Corner 7, Stand L44). The Liebherr LH 26 M Timber material handler and the Liebherr T 60-9s telescopic handler will be among the machines on display. The Liebherr wheel loader L 580 XPower® is equipped with industrial kinematics and high-dump bucket for the timber industry. In addition, an athlete from the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® series will be a guest on the Liebherr stand and will put on an impressive sawing show. The various product demonstrations will take place several times each day.

    Innovations in Liebherr wheel loaders: autonomous operation and hydrogen drive

    At Bauma 2025, Liebherr-Werk Bischofshofen GmbH will be showcasing two innovations which represent the latest advancements in digitalisation and drive technologies – the “Liebherr Autonomous Operations” system and the first large wheel loader with a hydrogen engine. The autonomous solution, which is at an advanced stage of development, allows completely driverless operation and is particularly suitable for monotonous routine tasks and operations in hazard zones. In addition, Liebherr's autonomous system is currently one of few products still under consideration for the Innovation Award at bauma, the leading trade fair in the construction industry. Alongside this groundbreaking debut, Liebherr will also be presenting pioneering advancements in drive technologies: the L 566 H is the first prototype of a large wheel loader with a hydrogen engine, thus expanding the range of alternative drive systems. After Bauma 2025, Liebherr will begin a two-year trial of this machine at STRABAG, one of Europe’s leading construction technology groups.

    Liebherr-Werk Nenzing GmbH converts to HVO fuel

    Since August 2024, the Liebherr factory in Nenzing, Austria, has switched to HVO fuel for the machines it produces. The big advantage in using this instead of fossil diesel is that it is largely CO2 neutral. The company is thus making an important contribution to reducing global greenhouse gas emissions. The HVO fuel is now also being used in the factory’s supply chain.
