Obstacle recognition for sheet piling work
When installing sheet piles unwelcome collisions with boulders, rocks or foundation remains can occur. This causes damage to the sheet piles, as well as the vibrator or basic machine. Obstacle recognition comes to the rescue.
The vibrator recognises obstacles before the sheet pile walls collide with them.
A signal appears on the control monitor to warn the operator should the amplitude measurement discover a harder object.
Vibrator LV
The amplitude measurement of Liebherr’s own high frequency vibrator records both its own frequency, as well as the reflecting negative amplitude. Therefore, the control system can recognize any obstacles under ground level before the sheet pile wall collides with them.
- This protects the sheet piles, vibrator and the basic machine
- Saves time, as the there is no delay in removing the obstacle (e.g. by drilling)
Indication in the operator's cab
The operator is warned via the basic machine’s control monitor about any obstacles or inadmissible ranges of the vibrator.
