Drive of the future: Liebherr highlights the relevance of combining technologies

Within the framework of the 13th International MTZ Conference on Heavy-Duty Engines Werner Seifried, Technology Director at Liebherr-Hydraulikbagger GmbH, gave a keynote speech on the drive concepts of the future: Liebherr focuses on the combination of different technologies as well as modular machine concepts.

Giant in Plochingen: first Liebherr LH 150 material handler with electric drive in an inland port

Since June 2018, scrap and metal trading company M. Kaatsch GmbH in Plochingen, Germany, has been working with a new Liebherr LH 150 C High Rise Industry Litronic material handler: the first LH 150 with electric drive to be used in an inland port.

On 2nd October, Liebherr-Hydraulikbagger GmbH opened its new development and demonstration centre in Kirchdorf. Around 1,400 interested visitors from all over the world took up the invitation to attend. In addition to impressive machine shows, factory tours and presentations, visitors were able to experience a special highlight at first hand: the new test track, which is unique to Europe.

Three years ago, Liebherr-Maritime Cranes presented the first prototype of the reachstacker LRS 545. Now two further products have extended the LRS 545 series. The powerful LRS 545 - 35 and the LRS 545 Log Handler.

At TOC Europe, Liebherr Maritime disclosed the expansion of the reachstacker product line by two new devices. A powerful reachstacker with the lifting capacity of 35 tonnes in the second container row and a log handler for timber handling will complete the existing product family.

Two LH 30 Material Handlers delivered to Metalco

New Zealand based scrap metal recycler, Metalco Recyclers Ltd, recently took delivery of two Liebherr LH 30 M Material Handlers at their main steel processing yard in Te Puke on the North Island.

Liebherr showcases specialist machines at IFAT 2018 in Munich

From 14th to 18th May, Liebherr will have a 300 m² stand at IFAT 2018, the world's leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management, which takes place in Munich. In hall C5 at stand 151/250, Liebherr will showcase specialist machines for the recycling industry and waste management. In addition to the two material handlers, the LH 22 M Industry Litronic and LH 30 M Industry Litronic, the L 556 XPower wheel loader from the successful XPower generation will also be on show.

Liebherr opens new agency in south-east of France

Liebherr inaugurated its new facility in Rognac on 9th March 2018 in front of 400 customers. The new facility is now in charge of the sales, rental and service of earthmoving, material handling and construction machines. Only 30 km from Marseille, the new location has 60 employees.

Liebherr presents its new telescopic handlers at Intermat

In the course of 2018, Liebherr will launch 8 new telescopic handler models in a total of 26 different versions. The new Liebherr telescopic handlers will be available in two model lines: First, the top-of-the-range models for materials handling or for production applications (identified by the suffix S). Second, the simple, cost-optimised value models for stacking and lifting applications.

Efficiency in material handling with the LH 26 M Industry Litronic

The LH 26 M Industry Litronic mobile material handling machine exhibited at Intermat 2018 meets the requirements of the Stage IV/Tier 4f emissions standards and represents the Liebherr series of small material handling machines. Harbour Dredging: Hybrid Duty Cycle Crawler Crane with 300 t Capacity in Operation in Piombino

The currently largest duty cycle crawler crane type HS 8300 HD from Liebherr is presently carrying out dredging work in Piombino. The aim of the project is to remove deposited sediment from the mouth of the port and also to increase the depth of the water. For this purpose the hybrid duty cycle crawler crane is equipped with a hydraulic clamshell grab with a filling capacity of 22 m³.

Liebherr expands Generation 6 crawler loader range and premieres new LR 626

Liebherr is expanding its series of Generation 6 crawler loaders with the addition of the new LR 626 Litronic crawler loader, which is the successor to the LR 624 crawler loader.
