New Business Area Sales Manager - NorthBathgate
A vacancy has arisen within our Earth Moving Sales department, looking after North England for a New Business Sales Manager.
The role contributes to the success of the Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd Earth Moving Technical division through the delivery of highly developed sales skills. With a passion not only for targets but also for people the role will constantly strive to increase the client base whilst ensuring outstanding customer service at all times and working within the Company’s key result areas; Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership.
Your Responsibilities
• Contributing to the sales growth of the division by generating profitable sales, in line with established targets.
• Effective marketing of the Liebherr brands, including social media and attending events, as instructed by Management.
• Successfully identifying, penetrating and closing business opportunities with new customers (new, or no business dealing with LGB for at least 4 years), to a successful end, including additional sales opportunities in terms of after-sales and rentals.
• Actively developing a network of new customer relationships with new customers.
• Negotiating within a defined framework, to close machine sales, in a profitable manner.
• Preparing and following up with quotations, to ensure timely payments from customers and machine delivery.
• Monitoring orders closely and can rapidly communicate any issues.
• Collaborating with the Sales office organisation, and other departments, to correctly administer all aspects of the sales process.
• Communicating effectively with After Sales, to ensure a smooth and seamless handover of products to customers.
• Actively supporting the development of colleagues, supporting them with every opportunity to enhance their skills and experiences.
• Maintaining an accurate database of all customer contact details and shares this information willingly with other areas of the business.
• Identifying the opportunity to supervise product demonstrations at selected customer sites, to facilitate the closing of new business deals.
• Any other duty as required by management commensurate with the post.
Your Profile
The successful candidate will require the following:
• Able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry
• Competent mechanical engineering background
• Able to demonstrate a passion for sales coupled with excellent results
• Demonstrable skills in negotiation and selling
• Outstanding communication skills and can demonstrate how this has been used effectively in a team environment
• Computer literate and able to demonstrate uses of IT relevant to role.
• Full clean driving licence
