Liebherr Brasil Ltda is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024. Excavators, cranes, truck mixers and slewing bearings are just some of the products manufactured for the South American market at the site in Guaratinguetá, Brazil. The sales and service activities of the group are also gathered together here. Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH also has 15 employees at the site.
Having been represented by sales partners in South America since 1995, the sales and service departments of Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH have been present at Liebherr Brasil since 2006. To date, the Brazilian subsidiary has sold nearly 100 gear grinding, hobbing and shaping machines. The company is also active on the market in the field of automation, including state-of-the-art gantry technology for a combustion engine production line.

The divisions located at Guaratinguetá benefit from the administrative and operational synergies there, sharing corporate departments such as IT, marketing and HR. An extensive operational structure is available for handling a large number of projects. Customers can rely on the highly verticalized processes.
Remanufacturing makes it easier for small businesses to enter the market
In 2021, the REMAN program of Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH, which is already established at its sites in Germany and the USA, was introduced in Brazil. The refurbished older machines with new guarantee are comparatively inexpensive, and therefore affordable for small and medium-sized companies – a factor that plays an important role in the South American market. A team of highly trained, experienced technicians takes care of the maintenance and repair of the machines.
