Battery mode
Regardless of which primary energy source is used, they all feed the integrated battery.
The electric free-fall winches with a cable pull of twice 300 kN provide power as well. When they are lowered, they recover energy to charge the battery. Thanks to this, the HS 8100.2 'dual power' requires 30 per cent less energy for the same performance as the conventional version.
The ‘battery-only mode’ is particularly helpful when assembling and disassembling the machine. In addition, short distances of up to 400 metres can be covered.
