Liebherr USA, Co. holds 2023 earthmoving and material handling sales and training seminar

Liebherr’s earthmoving and material handling technology team hosted an on-site 2023 sales and training seminar at the USA headquarters. Approximately 70 attendees participated in the three day event taking place in South Eastern Virginia.

Liebherr articulated dump trucks involved in major project at Lake Reschen

A major project worth around 21.5 million euros is being implemented at Lake Reschen in the municipality of Graun in Vinschgau (Italy). In order to make the SS40 state road safer, it is being relocated closer to the reservoir. The gigantic project, which will be implemented in two construction phases over three years, started in April 2023. Numerous Liebherr machines, including ten Liebherr TA 230 Litronic dump trucks, are involved and are responsible for both the earthmoving and execution of the backfill.

Liebherr at Pollutec 2023

From october 10th to 13th, Liebherr will once again have a booth at the 2023 edition of the Pollutec trade fair in Lyon. At the entrance of hall 3, dedicated to recycling – material and material reuse, the Liebherr stand (Aisle E, No. 108) will unveil many new innovations and products from the earthmoving and handling sectors.

After an impressive trial: Rubner Holzindustrie buys the L 580 LogHandler XPower®

With the L 580 LogHandler XPower®, Liebherr offers the timber industry a very special wheel loader. Liebherr has recently revamped this model and has optimised numerous aspects of the wheel loader in the course of the revision, such as the lift arms and the associated grabbers developed for log handling. A model of this latest generation has now been in operation for six months at the family-owned company Rubner Holzindustrie in Rohrbach an der Lafnitz, Austria. First of all, they started with a test operation lasting several months to try out the innovations on the L 580 LogHandler XPower® for the Liebherr plant in Bischofshofen. The Liebherr special wheel loader was so convincing that Rubner Holzindustrie decided to buy it right away.

Crawler tractors at steinexpo 2023: potential solutions for boosting efficiency

Liebherr works ceaselessly on solutions for the crawler tractor sector, also at times of rising pressure on costs, of more stringent requirements on environmental compatibility and of spiralling fuel costs. At the steinexpo 2023 trade fair, the company reveals how its crawler tractor PR 756 achieves compliance with workplace as well as environmental requirements.

The new R 992 crawler excavator presented at steinexpo

The R 972, R 978 SME, R 992 and R 998 SME crawler excavators, which replace the R 966, R 970 SME, R 976 and R 980 SME respectively, were exhibited for the first time at Bauma 2022 in Munich. The R 992 will have more specific visibility at steinexpo and will represent the entire range. Featuring numerous improvements, the new 70 to 100 tonne crawler excavators are distinguished by their improved performance data, level of operator comfort, new assistance functions and low fuel consumption.

Two powerful Liebherr wheel loaders at steinexpo 2023

Liebherr is presenting two powerful wheel loaders from two different series at this year's steinexpo, the international demonstration trade fair for the raw materials and building materials industry. Among them is the L 546, representative of the mid-sized Liebherr wheel loaders. Liebherr has recently redeveloped and fundamentally revised this series. Innovations include newly designed lift arms that ensure maximum breakout, holding and return forces. The second Liebherr wheel loader at steinexpo is the L 586 XPower®, Liebherr's largest and heaviest wheel loader with an operating weight of around 33 tonnes.

MyGuide for Earthmoving: new app for Liebherr earthmoving and material handling machines

Liebherr has launched MyGuide for Earthmoving, a new app specifically aimed at customers and machine operators as well as construction machinery enthusiasts and fans from the earthmoving and material handling industry. The app bundles product information and news from these two segments, allowing users to access the relevant topics quickly, easily and at any time – whether via smartphone or tablet. Among other things, the app offers direct links to sales as well as a personal area that displays the user's favourite products and comparisons as well as Liebherr news.

Liebherr at steinexpo 2023: Alternative drives and digitalisation in the quarrying industry

Liebherr will be represented at steinexpo 2023 from 23 to 26 August 2023 with over ten machines from its earthmoving and mining product segments. In addition to the products on static display and presented in live shows, the main focus of Liebherr's presence will also be on alternative drives and the latest developments in the field of digitalisation. Several crawler excavators, an articulated dump truck, the largest Liebherr wheel loader as well as another wheel loader model, dozers and a mining excavator will be on display on Liebherr's main booth, which covers around 1,200 m2.

Liebherr and Leica Geosystems: Expanded range of semi-automatic machine control systems for crawler excavators

Liebherr, in cooperation with Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, offers various machine control systems for hydraulic excavators ex works. Machine control systems are driver assistance systems that make construction projects and processes more efficient, productive and safer. Liebherr is now extending its range of machine control systems for its Generation 8 crawler excavator models.

170 million euro investment: New Liebherr production site in Alsace

Liebherr-France SAS, based in Colmar, France, is responsible for the development and production of the Liebherr Group's crawler excavators. As part of its efforts to strengthen local supply chains, Liebherr-France SAS is planning to open a new manufacturing site for welded components as well as pre-assembly and assembly work for driver cabs in the EcoRhena industrial park in Nambsheim (Alsace, France) in 2025. Liebherr is investing 170 million euros on an area of around 47 ha and will create more than 300 jobs.

Distribution and services close to the customer: A new Liebherr branch in the Paris region

A new Liebherr branch in the west of Paris is inaugurated in Taverny on 26 May 2023, in the presence of customers and partners, representatives of local politics and the Liebherr family, among others. The expanded structure in Taverny - in addition to the branch in Fontenay-Trésigny - will serve the sales, customer service and maintenance of earthmoving and material handling machines as well as other products from various product segments of the Group in the Paris area.
