Airbus A380: In the air for already 15 years
In 2008, Singapore Airlines’ A380 operated the first passenger-carrying flight on the Singapore-Sydney route. During the last 15 years, Airbus delivered 250 A380 and Emirates bought 115 aircraft becoming the first A380 operator in the world.
Lucky passengers who could travel with this extraordinary aircraft recognized it as the best in class regarding comfort. And the good news is that, even after production stopped, most of the A380 are coming back to service after having been grounded during the COVID pandemic. Using the A380 on high-density routes, most of the airlines will continue now to operate the planes to the end of their life, which is beyond 2035.
We are a major system supplier on the Airbus A380, with air management systems and flight control equipment and offer our support throughout the whole aircraft life cycle.

The agreement provides comprehensive 24/7 component support from OEMServices’ main A380 regional pool based at Singapore’s Changi Airport.
In 2007, OEMServices’ Original Integrated Services (OIS) division launched operations in Singapore and will further accompany the airline in its need for greater proximity and reactivity thanks to a new 600 m² warehouse in Singapore.
