Founded in 1961, Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd. distributes the entire range of construction and material handling machines in the United Kingdom and Ireland. In addition to the head office in Biggleswade around 70 kilometers north of London, the company operates sales and service branches located right across England. They are situated in Aston-in-Makerfield near Wigan, Weston-super-Mare near Bristol, Cannock, Sheffield, Sunderland, and Bathgate and Aberdeen In Scotland. It also operates a subsidiary in Ireland, i.e. Liebherr-Construction Equipment Ireland Limited.

Founded in 2007, Liebherr-Rental Ltd. forms part of a network of Liebherr Rental Services. Customers in different European countries can use this network to obtain over 3,000 high-quality rental machines from Liebherr. The selection extends from machines for earthmoving activities and the extraction of raw materials through to demolition and material handling.

Liebherr Sunderland Works Ltd. produces ship cranes, offshore cranes and special cranes. The company was founded in 1989. Liebherr took over at that time the facilities of the Deptford Wharf, the oldest wharf in the United Kingdom, in the port city of Sunderland. The company set up a modern production plant for maritime cranes in Sunderland close to the mouth of the River Wear.
