As we continue to grow our Mining Division in New South Wales, we are seeking an experienced and motivated NSW Service Manager to lead our after-sales operations and drive exceptional customer outcomes.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager – NSW Mining, the NSW Service Manager will lead a team of six direct reports and be responsible for all aspects of after-sales operations across the region. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong operational focus, commercial acumen, and a commitment to delivering industry-leading customer support.

You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of safety and team development.

Responsiblities:

• Lead and develop a high-performing team across service operations, field service, and customer support functions.
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all company and statutory requirements.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build long-term relationships with key mining customers.
• Manage service operations to achieve financial targets, productivity objectives, and operational KPIs.
• Oversee service planning, workforce utilisation, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
• Support major maintenance, rebuild, and component replacement programs across customer sites.
• Monitor and improve service performance through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with parts, technical support, warranty, and operations teams to deliver integrated customer solutions.
• Identify business development opportunities and support growth within the NSW Mining region.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to support succession planning and capability growth.
• Manage service vehicles, tooling, equipment, subcontractors and branch infrastructure.
• Support workforce planning, capability development and succession planning.
• Monitor project schedules, risks and service performance against KPIs.

Skills & Experience:

You are a customer-focused operational leader with strong commercial acumen and proven experience managing field service or workshop operations within mining, heavy equipment, construction, or a related industry.

You will also bring:

• Proven leadership experience within mining, heavy equipment, construction, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of after-sales service operations, maintenance management, and customer support.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive performance, and foster a positive workplace culture.
• Excellent commercial and financial management skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
• Experience managing customer contracts, service agreements, and operational performance metrics.
• A commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Relevant trade, engineering, or business qualifications are highly regarded.
