Liebherr Australia is looking for an experienced Technical Support Advisor with strong understanding of Engines and is able to effectively document, monitor and analyse Liebherr Engines, focussing on application, performance, and reliability. You will act as the primary interface between our Factories and our Australian support teams.

About the Role:

In this role you will be responsible for providing high level technical information and support to our Mining Division and Customers. You will act as the primary contact for all Engine related technical information between our European factories and the Australian business as it relates to performance, reliability, availability and trend analysis.

This role will be primarily focussed on providing technical advice and support to our Liebherr staff based in the Eastern states, as such this role can be based out of either Mount Thorley in NSW or Mackay in QLD.

Relocation assistance may be provided to the successful candidate.

Skills and Duties:

Reporting to the National Manager, Mining Engine Solutions - you will be responsible for:

• Effective engagement with internal stakeholders to manage product related risks, by providing technical solutions to reliability and performance issues
• Providing relevant training/educational sessions associated with technical information
• Providing technical: advise, expertise, guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders
• Manage and conduct effective and high level field testing, trials and analysis on Liebherr plant and equipment (Engines)
• Prepare and submit required reports and analysis of equipment, modifications, reliability etc as required
• Have a strong commitment to safe work environment and continuous improvement
• Be a self-starter and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Essential Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications: Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or Engineering (Mechanical) Diesel Fitter or Electrotechnology (HV) or Automotive Electrical Technology
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

Desirable Requirements:

• Practical experience on engine maintenance.

Those candidates successful in progressing past interview stage will be required to undergo a Pre-employment process including National Police Clearance and Medical Screening which includes drug and alcohol testing.
