About the Role:

As a Senior Network and Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimisation, and ongoing operation of Liebherr Australia’s network and core systems infrastructure. Operating at a senior technical level, you will provide expert guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, lead the resolution of complex incidents, and contribute to infrastructure strategy and continuous improvement across our 23 branches in Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Ensure high availability and performance of network and server infrastructure through proactive maintenance, upgrades, and issue resolution across multiple sites
• Provide senior-level Tier 2/3 support for escalated incidents, acting as a primary technical escalation point for the engineering team
• Lead formal root cause analysis for recurring and major incidents, implementing permanent fixes and contributing to a reduction in incident recurrence
• Define and maintain infrastructure architecture standards, contribute to technology evaluations, and drive continuous improvement across the network and systems estate
• Lead or co-lead infrastructure upgrade, migration, and deployment projects, providing technical mentorship to Network & Systems Engineer team members throughout delivery.

Competencies

You Will Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking or a related field.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) – Data Centre Virtualisation.
• At least one advanced technical certification: CCNP Enterprise, VMware VCP, Microsoft AZ-104, or equivalent.
• ITIL 4 Foundation Certification.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Equivalent combination of education and industry experience may also be considered.
