Creating Passion: Your Responsibilities

• Identification and definition of supplier portfolio & classification of strategic suppliers of respective Material Group.
• Work in close co-operation with Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer and manufacturing, purchase, quality and engineering teams in plant (both in India and Europe) to ensure the sharing of accurate information on time
• Aligning on sourcing strategy for mechanical parts like Castings, Forgings, Raw materials, Engines as per assigned material group.
• Ensure that the Liebherr technical requirement, quality expectations, delivery targets and Quality systems implemented smoothly and permanently.
• Monitor Supplier NDAs, Self-Evaluation, and aligning supplier selection process following SCM guidelines of organization.
• Following qualification progress of supplier from drawing, sample approval until Supply Agreement on serial quantities.
• Keeping a track on supplier performance together with purchase team.
• Tracking development of material prices globally & locally and arranging materials accordingly based on need.
• Working on cost details, input into cost database, maintaining the development record of various commodities.
• Strengthening expertise towards should-cost of respective material group and defining strategy on achieving this together with strategic suppliers.
• Travelling requirement – approx. 30 - 40% of your working time.

Creating Passion: Your Responsibilities

• Bachelor of engineering (Mechanical/Production Engineering)
• Sourcing record of accomplishment and experience in Engines manufacturing industry.
• Working experience of 6-8 years in Supplier selection process, price negotiations/finalization, Prototype Part development (experience in sourcing for Engine parts preferred)
• Knowledge of supplier base for Engine parts (Castings, Forgings, bearings etc.)
• Well Verse with tools and processes such as PPAP, FMEA, relevant tools for sourcing and procurement
• Structured and process oriented approach with an acumen of monitoring the market trends & daily activities
• Good command over spoken and written English, knowledge of German will be an add-on.
