Play & Build is the trade fair stand initiative for younger Bauma visitors. Children can learn about the topic construction and the future in a playful and fun manner. How do children imagine their towns and cities in the future? Buildings, streets and entire cities of the future are made from modelling clay at the Liebherr booth.
“That’s a tree”, babbles Tim cheerfully. Another girl bravely climbs onto a small yellow step stool and grabs the pink clay. Various sculptures and figures are on the table around which the children gather. The pink clay is slowly transformed into a sausage, which the girl then presses into a yellow square: A house with a slide. Trees in all possible colours gradually emerge next to it.
This is one part of the future city from a child’s perspective. The focus here is also on “Together” because, as the saying goes, Rome wasn’t built in a day! But working together is fun, especially when the building material is clay.
At the stand initiative Play & Build, the young Bauma visitors can become familiar with the universal motto in a fun way and touch on the topic construction and the future. How do the children imagine their future cities today? Buildings, streets and entire cities of the future are made from modelling clay, under supervision of course! The children can get creative and let their imaginations run wild!
The activity takes place on the weekend of the trade fair from 13-14 April 2019 (Sat from 9 am to 6 pm and Sun from 10 am to 4 pm) at the Liebherr stand no. 809-813.

Liebherr overcomes access restrictions to lift a Derrick crane onto a Paris high-rise roof
A Liebherr Derrick crane has been transported piece by piece onto the roof of the Opus 12 tower in Paris La Défense, using a goods lift and a helicopter. Because the heaviest and largest components could not reach the site and the roof could not bear the load of a standard crane, Liebherr Tower Crane Solutions, Liebherr France (LDF) and the client Legendre developed this rooftop lifting solution together.

For the filming of a new ARD/WDR series in Germany’s Ruhr region, the production team at Sally Forth Cinema used Liebherr’s Liduro Power Port (LPO 100) mobile energy storage system for the first time. Over a period of 33 filming days, the battery storage system ensured a reliable power supply for the entire base camp. The quiet and locally emission-free energy supply supported the implementation of modern green production concepts and contributed to smooth filming operations.
