About the RoleLiebherr is at the forefront of innovation and cutting-edge solutions in the mining industry, and we are seeking a passionate, experience software architect to join our growing dynamic team. This role will lead the design and development of complex software solutions across our mining technology product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to ensure that our software systems are robust, scalable and aligned with our strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement complex software solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to industry best practices.
- Analyse existing systems to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions for enhancing performance and scalability.
- Lead the development of software architecture strategies, including microservices and containerization, to support a robust and scalable platform.
- Work with C#.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and RestAPI to develop and maintain software solutions.
- Ensure system integration meets best practices and supports overall architecture goals.
- Translate high-level requirements into detailed technical designs and specifications.
- Develop schematics and technical documentation depicting system operation and design.
- Drive change management processes to ensure successful implementation of new technologies and systems.
- Monitor and analyse detailed costs of systems, making recommendations for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Interpret technical procedures, manuals, schematics, part drawings, assembly drawings, component/system specifications, and governmental regulations.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- A minimum of five years’ experience system architecture and design roles.
- Extensive experience in software architecture and design, with a strong focus on C#.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and RestAPI.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable microservices architectures and experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid experience working with Linux systems.
- Proficient in database technologies, including EventStoreDB and SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of system integration concepts and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Knowledge of system engineering, change management, and risk management.
- Experience in quality management principles and resource planning.
- Proven track record of cultivating teamwork and coaching/developing teams.
- Ability to determine customer needs and establish product/service forecasts.
- Commitment to self-development, both in technical and behavioural competencies.
- Ability to travel internationally.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters in computer science or related field
- Experience in fleet management systems.
