We are seeking a dynamic and professional Service Supervisor to join our team at our Fort MacKay branch and oversee operations at various customer sites. This role is pivotal in coaching and supervising our technicians, ensuring they adhere to our high standards of safety, service and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exemplary leadership qualities, and exceptional communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Electrical and Mechanical Technicians.
- Ensure technicians are following all safety policies and procedures for the site and Liebherr.
- Assist and provide input on all customer job scopes.
- Maintain accurate inventory of onsite Liebherr tools.
- Monitor and control cost-effective purchasing of all consumables.
- Provide leadership, support, and representation for all site technicians.
- Work closely with customer requests and concerns.
- Prepare and implement equipment maintenance program (work with Service Manager).
- Assign all work orders and jobs to technicians and monitor time-in and time-out on jobs.
- Distribute and provide support for all technical improvement and service bulletins to technicians.
- Supervise and oversee all contractors performing work on Liebherr equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
Competencies
- Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate or equivalent considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in heavy equipment, mining, or a related field is required
- Demonstrated financial acumen; project costs/budgeting/ resource management
- Strong computer and administrative skills.
- Strong organizational and project planning skills.
- Proven diagnostic skills.
- Positive leadership abilities.
