Une nouvelle grue mobile LTM 1400-7.1 est venue compléter récemment la flotte de grues de la société américaine McNally-Nimergood Co. Cette grue tout terrain de Liebherr offre une capacité de levage de 400 tonnes métriques, ce qui en fait l'une des plus grandes grues mobiles du Michigan.
« Cette grue vient parfaitement compléter notre flotte moderne. Sa maniabilité est exceptionnelle pour une grue de cette taille », se réjouit Jeff McNally, gérant de McNally-Nimergood. « Nous avons réfléchi pendant près d'un an à l'achat d'une nouvelle grue. Il y a de nombreux éléments à prendre en compte avant d'investir dans une machine de cette envergure. »
La nouvelle grue à 7 essieux de McNally-Nimergood offre une portée maximale de 100 mètres. « De nombreux spectateurs sont venus assister au montage de la grue », constate Jeff McNally, qui travaille depuis plus de 40 ans dans le secteur de la construction et de la location de grues. « Elle était visible à plusieurs kilomètres à la ronde. » Après sa première mise en service, la LTM 1400-7.1 a déjà été mise plusieurs fois à contribution dans le Michigan.
